1 - When can I expect my order to ship?

We do our best to ship orders as fast as possible. Orders are typically packed and processed within 48-72 hours from the time we receive them. All orders are shipped via USPS and UPS from our New York office. You can calculate transit times on both websites: USPS.com and UPS.com (for the origin, use New York, 10002).

All our products are “made to order,” meaning once we receive your order, we then will hand pour/hand bottle and package your product, ensuring you receive the newest and freshest batches of everything. This does add a bit of time onto the processing times of each order.

You will receive an automatic notification from us once your order has shipped with a tracking number.

2 - Does The Goddess Line ship internationally?

Yes! Just select “USPS Priority Mail International” as your shipping option during checkout. We’re excited about our international customers and have tried to offer the most reasonable shipping rates possible. Please note, The Goddess Line is not responsible for any customs fees or duties incurred on international shipments; these are the responsibility of the purchaser. Please check with your local customs office about rules and regulations that may apply.

3 - Do you charge sales tax?

We are not required to collect sales tax on any orders outside the state of New York. For all New York orders, a sales tax of 8.875% does apply.

4 - What is your return policy?

Our products are bottled to order, and therefore made just for you. As such, we unfortunately cannot take any returns. If you’d like, please try a sample before purchasing a full size.

5 - Do you offer gift wrapping?

All our products are wrapped and protected during shipping with tissue paper. We take pride and care in our packaging design, and can assure you that our products come ready for gifting as is. If you need additional gift wrapping, please email info@thegoddessline.org.

6 - Can I find your products locally?

Our goods are carried in fine boutiques across the U.S. and in various other countries. Please see our Stockists list to find a shop near you.

7 - Can you rush my order?

All orders are typically shipped within 3 days of receipt. If you select any type of rush shipping at checkout, such as “UPS 2 day or UPS 1 day” shipping, we usually try to bump your order to the head of the queue. If it is an emergency and you need the order within the next business day, please email jacki@thegoddessline.org. If you reach us before 1pm that day, we can try to get your order out that same day. We cannot guarantee this, so please try to plan ahead and order early, or visit our Stockists list to find a retailer near you who may carry the item you need.

8 - Can I come to your studio to make a purchase?

Though we’d love the visit, our Lower East Side office is mainly a production center and not a retail space. Please place your order online or find a Stockist near you.

9 - Are The Goddess Line products all natural?

In The Goddess Line laboratory, we use both essential and fragrance oils. All our oils are free of alcohol, water, and synthetic dyes and preservatives. Instead, we organically preserve our oils using Vitamin E Oil and Rosemary Antioxidant. None of our oils use any products derived from animals, such as musk (which is derived from deer glands). All our concentrated essential oils are diluted using organic bases, such as coconut and jojoba oil. Our Saraswati, Durga and Ratri oils are 100% organic, and the Parvati, Lakshmi, Isis and Athena oils are approximately 80% organic. We do use an especially high concentration of natural ingredients in comparison to mass-market perfumes, which usually contain little (and sometimes none at all) natural ingredients. Because The Goddess Line does not spend money on advertising, all of our cost goes into the oil itself, bringing you the highest quality of materials and creativity.

10 - Where should I store my perfume?

Because The Goddess Line oils contain volatile natural ingredients, store in a cool, dim place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Citrus and floral oils are particularly sensitive to light and heat.

11 - Have you changed any formulas?

No! We have never, ever, changed any formulas. Once an oil is created, the formula stays the same.

Like fine bottles of wine, natural oils vary from batch to batch, for a million different reasons—such as crop growth that year, the age of each ingredient and temperatures. In the warmer summer months, your oil will usually smell deeper and richer, while in the colder winter months, it can appear more faint. If you’ve been using the same bottle for a year or two (which is typical, as our bottles of oil last a long time!), your next purchase may smell a bit different...that's normal! You're smelling a brand new young oil that hasn’t had the chance to age and become stronger and richer. All our products are “made to order,” meaning once we receive the order you placed online, we hand pour/hand bottle and package your product, ensuring you receive the newest and freshest batches of everything. But because of unavoidable factors that can alter natural oils, each batch can vary slightly. But we have never changed any formulas.

12 - Why does my Parvati oil looks like it is crystallizing?

In the colder winter months, you may notice crystals forming in your Parvati oil. This is completely natural. Our Parvati oil has a lot of vanilla and amber in it. Vanilla oil and amber oil are both normally solid at room temperature. To mix these ingredients into batches, we have to heat the oils in a hot water bath before diluting them with the carrier oils. If the Parvati oil is ever exposed to extreme cold temperatures, like during shipping, the vanilla and amber can solidify again. We don’t use synthetic chemicals to prevent natural changes from occurring in any of our oils. But this is an easy thing to fix! Just take your bottle, seal it in a zip-lock bag, and dunk it into a cup of hot water for 10 minutes. Then give it a shake! It should bring the Parvati oil back completely to liquid, without damaging or deteriorating the natural oils. This process is similar to heating a bottle of frozen milk for a baby in a hot water bath, instead of a microwave, to preserve its quality.

13 - Is The Goddess Line an environmentally-friendly company?

As a small company, our footprint is very small, and we are dedicated to being an environmentally-safe and sustainable company. We do not use endangered plant species, and we source wild and organic ingredients whenever possible. All our products are handmade in small batches in New York. We order our ingredients from reputable U.S. companies and farms. All our printing, boxes and labels are made in the U.S. as well. Both the bottle and outer packaging is 100% recyclable.

14 - Does The Goddess Line create custom fragrances?

We take on a very limited number of custom fragrance projects each year for individuals, as well as private label. The time it takes for custom work varies greatly depending on the scope of each project. A great amount of detail and time goes into creating a custom fragrance. We use high-end materials and create an entirely unique formula catered to each client’s desires. Please email jacki@thegoddessline.org to discuss your project further.

15 - Are you hiring?

We are currently looking for Graphic Design/Social Media Interns. Please send your resume to jacki@thegoddessline.org.
